Freemixed Nuts: Vol.03 | FunkFelicity Review

New Scour Records compilation with the best bass funk players in the game!

Freemisex Vol 3I’ve been waiting for this ever since Freemixed Nuts: Vol.02 came out about five months ago. The releases from Scour Records are always a pleasure for funk lovers, and this is no different. The best thing, though? All seven tracks are free of charge! Take a listen below and download it from Scour Records’ Facebook channel.

★ First off is Leo; a dude I got to know for about a year ago with his funky and swingy Glitch Hop tune Go Miller. He has incredible power and the funky bass is always heavy and addicting – you’ll find “You” just like that:

★ Next is the duo Jack Lemmon. Only three months ago DJ Clairvo and Kid Panel signed with Scour Records and released LViS, an amazing Ghetto Funk tune with Elvis Presley’s vocals chopped to awesomeness. Here’s the latest, just as awesome, just as heavy and reeeally funky:

★ Third act is a collab between NOG and Perkulat0r. The style of the track is easily connected with each of their slower and darker signature basslines. Mixed with a cool hiphop vocal it creates awesome depth to the release:

★ I don’t think Father Funk needs much introduction; he’s one of my favorites, and that’s because of his insane level of funk paired with always dope vocals:

★ I’ve known J-Sound for about a year as well, and his many free downloads plays regularly on my iPod. On Express Yo’Self there’s a dope uptempo vocal sample paired with a heavy bassline. Probably the most intense track on the compilation:

★ Towards the end we’re served an Electro Swing track that absolutely kills it and adds incredible depth to the release. Dephicit which is known for dope Swing vibes, and from The Fritz you’ll hear a lot of Latin/Ghetto Swing:

★ Last track is Captain Flatcap that I have listened to on the radio several times with his awesome show That Swing Thing on Kane FM. He’s new with Scour, but with this mix of Snoop Dogg, Chic, bass and funk is sure to keep him staying (and I love it!):
