Let’s spread the Funk!
This time we have Mad-D presenting his favorite tracks! Mad-D is from capital of Italy, and his genre is mainly in the funky Soul-ish department. We heard of him not long ago with his ‘Jackson 5 – I Want You Back‘ remix that we really liked! Cool take on the classic Funk tune, with some future/House-ish vibes and some great vocal work. You should also check out his chilled Soul tune ‘Something Soul‘ for the relaxing hours of the day and the ‘Wale – Ice Cream Girl‘ for the playful hours of the day.
His newest remix is presented below; we’d call it funky Future Soul – really a cool track. Keep an eye out for the Italian youngster that you can expect more funky Soul tracks from in the near future.
Find Mad-D on Facebook, Twitter and SoundCloud.
The following is Mad-D’ own favorites and words, enjoy:
Hi to all, I’m Mad-D, a young producer from Rome. With this playlist I want to share with you the tracks that I’m listening in my iPod right now.
‘Bug A Boo‘ is a perfect example of a 90’s song remixed in a more actual way. ‘Get Involved‘ takes me back in time and feature one of my favorite rappers, Q-Tip. The ‘Pony‘ remix is my reinterpretation of this beautiful Ginuwine’s song, hope you’ll like it 🙂
Then something more special, Dandario’s remix of ‘Underpurpled‘; hard to follow, strange metrics and progressions, but for me this song speaks to us even if there’s little to no voice! Last but not least on of my favourite track for the dancefloor, the Kartell version of ‘Just Chillin’ Out‘, a masterpiece from the 80’s! It’s hard not to dance with this groove!
